Stories have the power to connect people of different ages and backgrounds; next door neighbors and those who live halfway across the world. Our Real Life stories that we share face-to-face over a cup of coffee, in a personal essay or blog post, or through a one-line tweet, and those fictional tales that we spend time with to go on an adventure, find others like us, or learn about the people around us… they all have the power to connect us. To make us realize we’re not alone. To help us see that we’re unique and loved.

When we know we’re loved, it can change our lives. It can help make the world a better place.

Stories can conquer fear, you know. They can make the heart bigger.

Crystal really does understand how to look at a church, how to look at a church’s website, church communications, even the welcoming process for when guests and visitors come in, from an outsider’s point-of-view and help churches understand how we can be more welcoming. Also, how we can reach out to people.

Hi! I’m Crystal

I’m a storyteller who lives in Minneapolis with my pup, Mina. You can always find me with a book, a bottle of water (or two), and a few essential oils. I’m usually dreaming up my next adventure, but I also love to be home with Mina and close enough to take my niece and nephew out for our weekly(ish) lunch.

I believe that all stories should be told and when we share ours we can spread hope and love to those who need to hear them. And I believe hope and love are two things our world is desperately in need of.
